As a kid, there were two things I liked to do, ski and make movies with my friends. When I was nineteen I broke my pelvis on a transfer gap, and rather than let the season go to waste, I picked up the camera and started to document the progression of my fellow skiers and snowboarders. That decision, to make something of a wasted season, led me to my true passion.
I've spent the decade since making images across the US and Canada, shooting everything from race cars and models to TV shows and feature films. My work's appeared on big screens and small, on the web and even in museums.
I love the comfort of the studio, but I'll always pick the roar of the track or the chill of the mountains. And I think that's where I'm the strongest, in a live environment, where things only happen once and the narrative develops as it happens.
